Environmental impacts

Production always involves "environmental impacts".

There is no industrial manufacturing process to run completely "environmentally neutral" in its impact. The production of tiling products is also inevitably connected with certain impacts on the environment. Our internal Environmental Management System commits us to record major "environmental impacts" according to the normative term of DIN EN ISO 14001 as far as quantity and quality are concerned. They must be evaluated with regard to their effects on the environment and minimized through taking environmental improvement measures.

Hydrocasing kiln using natural gas

The high consumption of natural gas contributes to the exhaustion of a non-regenerative source of energy. By using the most modern firing technology, we guarantee to keep the energy input as low as apoosible.

processing of clay

The handling of clay raw materials and their processing leads to dust liberation that could have an adverse effect on the immediate environment of the location. This environmental impact is reduced to a minimum though enclosure of the production plants and through modern filtration technology.

Waste-gas purification plant

The particularly envrionmentally relevant emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) and hydrogen fluoride (HF), resulting from the baking of the burnt-clay roofing tiles, pollute the atmosphere. In order to keep these emissions as low as possible, we focus on energy-efficient and thus environmentally sound methods of production by using most modern firing technologies.

Clay quarrying

The quarrying of clay constitutes a temporary intervention into nature and the characteristic landscape. Through renaturation and recultivation measures, we reintegrate the quarryied areas into the ecological environment.
